first_imgYamaha has been testing the latest facelifted Xabre naked sports motorcycle on the streets of Indonesia. The Xabre 150 is slated to get a host of design updates as well as mechanical updates with an added price hike. The 2019 Yamaha Xabre gets a redesigned dragon line headlamp cluster and LED the main beam. The motorcycle also gets LED pilot lamps on top of the headlamps, revamped tank extensions, new tail frame, and a new engine cowl.Other updates on the motorcycle include a single piece seat which is different from the split seat which was present on the earlier motorcycle. The exhaust is the same as the current Yamaha R15 V3, dual-tone finish with brushed aluminum tips. The tail lamps are similar to the current gen FZ 150cc model. The blinkers, rear mudguard are all again from the current gen Yamaha R15 V3.Yamaha has not yet confirmed the mechanical specs, but we believe the Xabre or the M-Slaz, as it is called in some markets, will be powered by a 155cc single cylinder engine, again found currently on the Yamaha R15 V3.After the motorcycle is launched in Indonesia, it remains to be seen if Yamaha will launch the naked sports motorcycle here in the Indian two-wheeler market. If launched, the Xabre will go head-on against the likes of Suzuki Gixxer which is slated to arrive with a new look as well as an improved engine.Image: M Nashrul Azizlast_img
