Allardyce: Lack of firepower is QPR’s main problem

first_imgWest Ham boss Sam Allardyce believes QPRs lack of firepower is the main reason for their poor start to life back in the Premier League.Harry Redknapp’s side are bottom of the table and their 2-0 defeat against the Hammers on Sunday means they have lost all of their away matches so far this season, scoring only one goal in the process.“For Harry, like for us all, it’s about how threatening you are in terms of goal threat,” said Allardyce.“If you’re struggling to do that then the rest of the team comes under that much pressure it ultimately cracks. We’ve suffered that ourselves in the past.“What did they have? One attempt when Charlie Austin did brilliantly to get away from James Tomkins and a couple of shots.“When you haven’t got a real goalscorer in the team it makes such a difference. Our goal threat is greater whereas I think QPR are lacking a real goal threat at the moment and that makes life difficult.”Follow West London Sport on TwitterFind us on Facebooklast_img
